Ngawang Tshulthrim

Ngawang Tshälthrim ( Tib. Ngag dbang tshul khrims; * 1721 in Jonê (Chone); † 1791 ), the first Tshemönling regent or Tshemönling Nomihan or Samadhi Bakshi, was a Tibetan Trülku and politician. He was ruler of Tibet from 1777 to 1780 , d. H. in the time of the eighth Dalai Lama (1758–1804), from the 42nd to 45th year of the Qianlong era of the Qing dynasty . As regent he was the successor of the first demo regent, the sixth demo Hutuktu Ngawang Jampel Deleg Gyatsho (1722–1777) and resided in Tshemönling Monastery, one of the four temples of regency (gling bzhi) in downtown Lhasa .

He came from the Chone monastery in Amdo (in today's Jonê district , Gansu ) and was the 61st Ganden Thripa from 1778 to 1785 .
