Niška Banja is a district of Niš in Serbia . The place is spatially separated about eight kilometers east of the city center of Niš.
Located at the foot of the Suva Planina Mountains , the place is one of the best-known health resorts in Serbia, along with Vrnjačka Banja and Sokobanja . In the area of the place there are springs with radon-containing water, which is used for radon balneology .
The place has been known and used since Roman times . The first medicinal pools are said to have been built here in the 2nd century.

North of the center of Niška Banja run the main highways from Serbia to Bulgaria and on to Istanbul . Specifically, these are the Niš – Dimitrovgrad motorway, which is currently under construction, as part of European route 75, and the Niš – Pirot – Sofia railway line .
