Nicholas Brendon (* 12. April 1971 in Los Angeles , California as Nicholas Brendon Schultz ) is an American actor .

Life

Schultz played baseball in high school . However, a year after graduation, he had to end his career as a professional baseball player because of an arm injury. After he made his television debut in a commercial and had a small guest role on the series A Terribly Nice Family , he gained his first experience as a production assistant on the sitcom Always Trouble with Dave . In 1997 he was cast for the role of Alexander LaVelle Harris in the series Buffy the Vampire Slayer , which he played in 143 episodes until 2003. In 2005 Brendon played a leading role in the sitcom Kitchen Confidential , which was discontinued after 13 episodes. The following year he worked as a voice actor on the animated series American Dragon . Since 2007 he has played the recurring role of Kevin Lynch in the series Criminal Minds .

Brendon's twin brother Kelly Donovan is also an actor.
