Nick Hurran
Nick Hurran (* 1959 in London , England ) is a British film and television director and television producer .
life and career
Nick Hurran has worked for the BBC since 1985 , primarily in the field of television series. In 1997 he made his first feature film, the comedy film Remember Me? , with Imelda Staunton and Robert Lindsay in the lead roles. His second film, Girls' Night , was presented at the 1998 Berlinale and was competing for the Golden Bear . From 2011 to 2013, Hurran directed a total of five episodes of the science fiction series Doctor Who , including The Day of the Doctor . He was also the director of the two Sherlock television films His Last Oath (2014) and The Lying Detective (2017). He was nominated for an Emmy in 2014 for his work in the episode His Last Vow .
Hurran is married to the television producer Michele Buck and the couple have two children.
