Nick Stacey
Nicolas David "Nick" Stacey (born November 27, 1927 in London ; † May 8, 2017 ) was a British sprinter and priest of the Church of England .
Life
Nick Stacey won silver at the British Empire Games in Auckland in 1950 with the English four-by-110-yard relay. About 220 yards he was eliminated in the semifinals and over 100 yards in the preliminary run.
At the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952 , he reached the semi-finals over 200 m and came in fifth place with the British team in the 4 x 400 meter relay .
In 1953 he was ordained a priest in the Church of England . From 1971 to 1974 he headed the social services in the London Borough of Ealing , then until 1985 the social services of Kent .
