Niclas Dombrowski (born November 25, 1991 in Geesthacht ) is a former German handball player who last played in the 2nd handball league at VfL Bad Schwartau .

Career

Dombrowski initially played in the youth division at TSV Schwarzenbek, VfL Geesthacht and Lübeck in 1876 . In 2007, the then B-youth player moved to Bramstedter TS , where he was used exclusively in the A-youth who played in the regional league. With Bramstedt he won the 2008 NOHV Vice Championship. In the same year, the winger moved to VfL Bad Schwartau, where he was used in the A-youth and in the upper league playing 2nd men's team.

At the beginning of 2009, several left-handers of the 1st men's team playing in the 2nd Bundesliga fell out, so Dombrowski was included in the squad. On April 12, 2009 he made his debut in the 2nd Bundesliga against the Wilhelmshaven HV . After Dombrowski was still used occasionally until the end of the season, he belonged to the second division squad from the 2009/10 season. His successes with VfL were the qualification for the single-track 2nd Bundesliga and the quarter-finals in the DHB Cup 2009/10 and DHB Cup 2010/11 . After the 2012/13 season, the business administration student left VfL Bad Schwartau to study for two semesters at Temple University in Philadelphia.

Dombrowski was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein national team. In October 2010 he made his debut in the German junior national team against Slovenia, where he scored two goals. Overall, Dombrowski played four international matches for the junior selection, in which he scored eight goals.
