Nicolás Antonio Castellanos Franco OSA (born February 18, 1935 in Mansilla del Páramo ) is former bishop of Palencia .

Life

Nicolás Antonio Castellanos Franco joined the congregation of the Augustinians at and received on July 12, 1959, the priestly ordination .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on July 27, 1978 Bishop of Palencia . The apostolic nuncio in Spain , Luigi Dadaglio , consecrated him bishop on September 30th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Segundo Garcia de Sierra y Méndez , Archbishop of Burgos , and José Delicado Baeza , Archbishop of Valladolid .

He resigned from his office on September 4, 1991.

In 1998 he was awarded the Prince of Asturias Prize in the “Unity” category.
