Nicola Gratteri (* 1958 in Gerace im Locride ) is an Italian public prosecutor.

Gratteri was born the third of five children into a family with a modest background. After graduating from high school, he enrolled in the Law Faculty of the University of Catania . He graduated after four years and began his career two years later at the Magistrate in Reggio Calabria .

Currently, Gratteri is one of the most famous public prosecutors of the Direzione Distrettuale Antimafia . Gratteri has been under personal protection since April 1989 due to his excellent position in the fight against the Calabrian mafia 'Ndrangheta .
