Nicolas "Nici" Pohler (born September 21, 1995 in Munich ) is a German automobile racing driver . He started in the European Formula 3 championship in 2015 .

Career

Pohler began his motorsport career in karting in 2005 , in which he remained active until 2011. In 2012 Pohler switched to formula racing and started for KUG Motorsport in the ADAC Formula Masters . With a sixth place as the best result, he finished the season in 18th place overall. In addition, he made four guest starts in Formula LO and finished in first place twice.

In 2013 Pohler switched to DAV Racing in the European F3 Open . It started with an older chassis and only switched to a current vehicle for the last two events. Pohler finished the season in 25th place overall. In 2014, Pohler stayed in the racing series that had been renamed Euroformula Open in winter. He started for the West-Tec F3 team. He regularly scored points and improved to twelfth place in the overall standings.

In 2015 Pohler switched to Double R Racing in the European Formula 3 championship . Because of a broken arm after a bicycle accident, he paused for two events. A 14th place was his best result.

In 2016 Pohler switched to GT Sport and was hired as a Lamborghini GT3 junior driver. Together with Mirko Bortolotti , he contested the 2016 Blancpain Sprint Series and ended the season with four places in the top ten and one second place.
