Nicole Jäger (born July 17, 1982 in Hamburg ) is a German cabaret artist , comedian and book author .

Life

Nicole Jäger grew up in Hamburg-Eimsbüttel . After an accident while playing trampolines at the age of 15, she spent a year in a wheelchair. According to her own statements, she was hardly able to leave the apartment during this time. After a supposed heart attack , which ultimately turned out to be a panic attack , Jäger decided to change her life and began to lose weight. In the course of losing weight, Nicole Jäger began to advise other people as a weight loss coach. In 2014 the broadcaster ZDFinfo published the documentary My Pounds, Your Pounds - Fighting Calories , which was about her own story as well as about coaching .

At the end of 2015, Rowohlt Verlag published Jäger's first book Die Fettlöserin , in which she also describes her life story and her weight loss method. The book sold over 100,000 copies.

From January 2016 she was with her first stage program I can do it, I'm fat myself .

Nicole Jäger now weighs 160 kg by her own account. On December 15, 2017, her book Not Directly Perfect , which deals with the topic of femininity, was published . From January 2018 to November 2019 she was on tour with the comedy program of the same name, which was recorded and broadcast by RTL in October 2018. Jäger's current program “Princess Asshole” premiered in January 2020.

In addition, she can be seen in entertainment programs such as Murder with Announcement , Genial besides or Genial besides - Das Quiz . In December, the special Comedy Central presents Nicole Jäger was broadcast on Comedy Central .

Jäger is committed to raising awareness of heart attacks in women. These are often not recognized as such, and women go to the doctor an hour later than men on average. In addition, she is one of 17 comedians who want to draw attention to the 2030 Agenda under the motto Comedy for Future .
