The Lower Austrian Insurance Company is an insurance company in Lower Austria . The company headquarters is in the state capital St. Pölten . The area of activity is limited to the federal states of Lower Austria and Vienna . The insurance company currently operates 43 customer offices in both federal states and employs 638 people. (As of 2016)
Lower Austria Insurance emerged from Erste n.oe., which was founded in 1923. Fire damage insurance company . One of the founders was the later governor Josef Reither . The first company headquarters was also near the then provincial government at the Landhaus in Vienna. The first business activities extended, as the name suggests, to fire insurance , with the main clientele in agriculture .
It was only in the 1960s that the insurance company expanded its business activities to include other insurance lines and thus also other customer groups. To this day, these include both private individuals and companies, but also communities .
In 1978 the insurance company changed its name to its current name. In 2007 the company relocated its headquarters to what is now the state capital St. Pölten .
NÖ Versicherung works closely with Hypo Noe Landesbank as a sales partner. There are also partnerships with other insurance companies such as the Austrian Hagelversicherung or Mondial Versicherung .
