The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Ukrainian capital Kiev is the seat of the diplomatic mission of the Netherlands , Arubas , Sint Maartens and Curaçaos for Ukraine and Moldova .

history

The Netherlands recognized Ukraine's independence on December 31, 1991, diplomatic relations were established on April 1, 1992 and the embassy opened in autumn 1992.

The first ambassador of the Netherlands in Kiev was Robert Serry . Jennes de Mol has been the Dutch ambassador to Ukraine since 2019 .

The Dutch Embassy in Kiev is located since 2001 in Stadtrajon Podil in the same district at the Pyrohoschtscha Church on the Square of Contracts paragraph 7 below.

Dutch consulates in Ukraine are located in the cities of Lviv and Donetsk .

Embassy building

The embassy building on Kontraktowa Square was the first new embassy building after Ukrainian independence. It was built in 2001 on one of the last war breaks in Podil and follows the construction line of the destroyed previous building. The four-storey building dispenses with historical details and has a facade clad with natural stone.
