The Niedertalbach , sometimes also called the Niedertaler Ache , is a glacier creek in the Ötztal Alps in Tyrol.

The Niedertalbach arises at 2286  m above sea level. A. from the union of Niederjochbach and Schalfbach below the Martin-Busch-Hütte . The approximately 4 km long Niederjochbach drains the Niederjochferner , the nearly 3 km long Schalfbach rises from the Schalfferner and takes on the tributaries of the Mutmalferner and Marzellferner .

The Niedertalbach flows north through the Niedertal and takes in the Roten Bach from the Rotkarferner from the left and the Diembach from the Diem- and Firmisanferner as well as the Spiegelbach from the Spiegelferner from the right. The stream cut deep into the valley floor over long stretches. At Vent it unites with the Rofenache coming from the west to form Venter Ache .

The catchment area of the Niedertalbach is 68.2 km² and includes around ten glaciers, which together cover an area of around 25.9 km² (as of 1988) and thus make up 38% of the catchment area. The highest point in the catchment area is the Hintere Schwärze at 3624  m above sea level. A.

One of the routes through which sheep are driven from South Tyrol into the Ötztal leads through the Niedertal .
