Nikola Holmes (born February 18, 1981 in Bellflower , California ) is a former American - German ice hockey player . Her older sister Annamarie Holmes was also a national ice hockey player, but for her native USA.

Career

Raised in the state of Minnesota , Holmes played on the team at Princeton University from 1999 to 2003 , where she studied English . Then she played two seasons at EHC Memmingen . For professional reasons she moved to Berlin in the summer of 2005 and played there until 2007 at the OSC "Eisladies" Berlin . In 2006 she won the German championship title with the team .

Between December 2003 and the end of the 2006/07 season, Holmes was a member of the German national team and took part in a large number of tournaments with this.

In June 2007, Nikola Holmes returned to North America for professional reasons.
