Nikolaj Dimitrov ( Bulgarian Николай Димитров , English transcription Nikolay Dimitrov; born October 15, 1987 in Russe ) is a Bulgarian football player . His position is the offensive midfield or the storm.
Career
society
Dimitrov began his career in 1998 in the youth team of Levski Sofia, where he played until 2004. Since 2004 he has played in the professional team of Levski Sofia. So far he has been able to celebrate three championship titles (2006, 2007, 2009), two cup wins (2005, 2007) and three Supercup wins (2005, 2007, 2009) from the 2004/05 season.
For the 2010/11 season his move to Kasımpaşa Istanbul was announced, where he signed a five-year contract and with his compatriot Georgi Sarmow, who also moved from Sofia to Turkey, was able to fight for a regular place straight away. After Kasımpaşa missed relegation in the Süper Lig in the summer of 1011 and in the TFF 1st Lig , Dimitrov stayed in the 2nd Turkish division with this club. With his twelve goals in the regular season and two goals in the relegation phase, he played a major role in the rule victory of his team and thus in the immediate promotion to the Süper Lig. Raised in the Süper Lig, he mostly sat on the bench and only played two league games .
For the second half of the 2012/13 season Dimitrov moved to the second division team Samsunspor . After a year he left this club and went to league rivals Boluspor . In 2014 he moved to league rivals Manisaspor , he signed a one-year contract.
For the 2015/16 season he moved to Skoda Xanthi .
National team
Nikolaj Dimitrov also played in the Bulgarian national soccer team (U-21 men) and so far six times in the Bulgarian national soccer team . He made his debut on February 6, 2008 against Northern Ireland when he came on for Todor Jantschew at halftime . The game in Belfast was won 1-0.
