Nikolaus Witt

Nikolaus Martin Witt (born March 21, 1834 in Hamburg , † September 28, 1890 in Berlin ) was a landowner , city councilor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Witt attended private schools in Hamburg and the agricultural academy in Hohenheim . He learned agriculture in Holstein, the Kingdom of Saxony and Württemberg and while traveling in England. From 1858 to 1878 he was the owner of the Bogdanowo estate near Obornik in the Poznan province . Between 1867 and 1878 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives for the constituency of Posen-Obornik and from 1866 to 1878 Landscape Deputy of the Poznan Landscape, from 1881 to 1890 he was a member of the Reichstag for the 8th constituency of the government district of Frankfurt (Sorau) and from 1881 to 1887 member of the provincial state parliament of the province of Brandenburg , since 1879 city councilor of Charlottenburg.
