Nils Drube (born February 26, 1978 in Münster ) is a German football coach . For the 2020/21 season he will take over SV Rödinghausen as head coach.

Career

Drube played as an active footballer at SC Westfalia Kinderhaus . He worked as a youth coach (U17 / U19) for Preußen Münster , where he was Pavel Dotchev's assistant coach from January to June 2012 . In the summer of 2012, he went to Bayer 04 Leverkusen , where he initially coached the U19s and worked in the scouting department from 2015. In 2016 he acquired the football instructor license together with Daniel Thioune , Marco Antwerpen , Julian Nagelsmann and Domenico Tedesco .

In October 2018 he became head coach of the third division Sportfreunde Lotte as the successor to Matthias Maucksch . He received a two-year contract in Lotte. In April 2019, Drube was fired for continued unsuccessfulness.

After a year without a club, Drube will take over SV Rödinghausen as the successor to Enrico Maaßen as head coach for the 2020/21 season .
