Nils Zumbeel (born January 19, 1990 in Meppen ) is a German football goalkeeper .

Career

Born in Meppen, Lower Saxony, Zumbeel began his career at SV Meppen there . He moved to VfL Osnabrück when he was still young . Zumbeel caused a stir on March 8, 2009 (17th matchday) when he scored the goal for the VfL U-19 team at FC Carl Zeiss Jena in the 44th minute to make it 1-1 . In the following season he was accepted into the first team and officially led as the third goalkeeper, but played as a regular goalkeeper of the second team of VfL Osnabrück. At the end of the 2009/10 season there was promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga . At the same time, Zumbeel rose with the second team from the Oberliga Niedersachsen West via relegation to the single-track Oberliga Niedersachsen . In the second division season 2010/11 Zumbeel was third in the hierarchy of goalkeepers behind regular goalkeeper Tino Berbig and substitute Manuel Riemann . The team finished 16th at the end of the season, whereupon they failed in the relegation to Dynamo Dresden , so that the immediate relegation was certain.

When Berbig left the club in the direction of Jena for the following season , Manuel Riemann was the goalkeeper and Zumbeel was his substitute. When Riemann failed due to problems in his wrist, Zumbeel got his first professional appearance in the 2-0 away defeat against FC Carl Zeiss Jena on April 7, 2012 (33rd matchday).

Zumbeel has been playing for the regional league team VfV 06 Hildesheim since August 2014 .
