Nina Pekerman (born September 28, 1977 in Chișinău ) is an Israeli triathlete .

Career

Nina Pekerman was born in the Moldovan SSR and came to Israel in 1994 at the age of 17.

In 2002 she started her first triathlon.

In July 2005 she won the triathlon at the Maccabiade . She is Israeli national triathlon champion from 2004 to 2007 and 2009.

Pekerman was active in cycling for several years and in 2008 she became national runner-up in road cycling behind Leah Goldstein.

Long distance triathlon since 2009

In 2009 she started training on the long-distance triathlon and in 2010 she started on the Ironman distance for the first time.
Nina Pekerman has been the only professional triathlete active in Israel since 2012.

At the RFA Games , she finished second in her age group at the Fitness Championship in Tel Aviv in May 2018 . Today she lives in Kfar Saba .
