Location of Nockershäuschen in Wuppertal

The local situation Nockershäuschen, formerly also Nockerhäuschen and Nockenhäuschen or Nokerhäuschen in the residential area Höhe in the Wuppertal district of Vohwinkel goes back to an old place name.

location

The location is in the south of the district. Neighboring locations are: Nocken , Sonnenberg , Schieten , Dasnöckel , Roßkamp , Bies and Bracken .

history

As Kotten, Nockershäuschen is a small split from Nocken east of the path that led from Nocken to Roßkamp and Dasnöckel. The split ends were made before 1830 at a size of 76.5 a and are recorded on the map from 1824 of Poyda without any names.

On the map from 1892/94 the location is indicated by name as 'Nokerhäuschen'. In the late 1960s, the federal motorway 46 was built north of the locality , and the former traffic route in a north-south direction was removed. Nockershäuschen was developed from the 1930s (around this time in the spelling 'Nockerhäuschen') a path that touched the locality to the south and led to Schieten in the east.

After 1968 and before 1974, the area around Dasnöckel was rebuilt with several apartment buildings and high-rise buildings, the former streets were relocated. Now an access road with the name 'Hippenhaus' leads in a new course to the south past the location. On the topographic maps (TK24) from 1968 and 1974, the location is now recorded by name as a 'cam house' - after that no more.

There is no evidence that the historical building fabric has been preserved.

Today's street

At this location, the street Hippenhaus was named on October 14, 1974, but whether it means Nockershäuschen can be assumed - but has not been proven. 'Hippen-' can be interpreted as 'Hippe' = "increase" or colloquially for goats .
