Nora Frey

Eleonore "Nora" Frey (born December 11, 1950 in Vienna ) is an Austrian journalist and presenter .

Life

After Nora Frey completed her interpreting studies at the University of Vienna , she lived in Australia for two years. She then worked in the press department at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis ( IIASA ) in Laxenburg . She won an ORF competition and worked as a journalist from 1979 to 2001, mainly for the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF) , the Kronen Zeitung and other print media. The programs she moderated included the radio programs Ö3-Wecker , Ö3-Freizeichen and Radio Holiday . She was also an editor at the English language broadcaster Blue Danube Radio . On television she was, among other things, the presenter of the ORF programs Wurlitzer and Seitenblicke , commentator on several Vienna Opera Ball broadcasts and editor-in-chief of the TV talk show "Treffpunkt Wien". She played the blues in Kaisermühlen and won the Golden Microphone for a radio report on the seal slaughter in Alaska. Nora Frey also advises on communication issues with her company "Nora Frey Consulting" and is a media trainer and lecturer at the Theresian Military Academy in Wiener Neustadt.

Nora Frey has a son (* 1974) from her first marriage. In his third marriage, Frey was married to the Austrian journalist and sports commentator Heinz Prüller from 1990 to 2010 . For several years she ran a wine trade as a hobby, which she took over from her grandparents, who ran the "Freya Winery". 2009 Frey had even PADI divemaster , in Egypt a serious diving accident, 2010, she survived as a passenger in Spain just under the crash of a gyroplane type AutoGyro Calidus .

She has been running the Frey restaurant in Klosterneuburg since 2014 .
