Men's Nordic Football Championship 2000–01
The Nordic Football Championship 2000–01 for men's national teams took place between January 31, 2000 and February 1, 2001. The competition, which was held for the 14th and last time after 1981–83 and a break of 17 years, was won by Finland for the first time.
Most of the games took place in Spain, with two matches played indoors. Denmark played the first three games with a league selection, Sweden played exclusively with players from domestic leagues in 2001 and Finland played all matches with players from the Nordic countries except for the game against Norway .
mode
The now six participating teams, including the Faroe Islands and Iceland for the first time, played the tournament winner according to the “everyone against everyone” mode, with each team now playing once against each other. The team that had the most points or, if there was a tie, the better goal difference at the end of all games, won the tournament.
