Norris, Madison, and Fishing Bridge Museums

Norris, Madison, and Fishing Bridge Museums (also Trailside Museums ) are three separate museums in Yellowstone National Park that were jointly recognized as a National Historic Landmark in May 1987 and designated as a Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places . It is the Norris Geyser Basin Museum in Norris Geyser Basin , the Madison Museum south of it in Madison and the Fishing Bridge Museum on the north shore of Yellowstone Lake . All three buildings were designed by the architect Herbert Maier in the National Park Service Rustic style, a construction made of stone and wood, and built between 1929 and 1931. The Norris Geyser Basin Museum has exhibits on geothermal geology and life in thermal areas. The Madison Museum has been a bookstore with additional information since 1995. The Fishing Bridge Museum focuses on stuffed animals from the park.
