Norris Cole (born October 13, 1988 in Dayton , Ohio ) is an American basketball player who is under contract with ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne in France .

Career

college

Cole played for Dunbar High School in his hometown of Dayton and led the team to consecutive championships. At the college level, he played for Cleveland State University from 2007 to 2011, studying health science. In 140 games he scored an average of 14.1 points per encounter. In recognition of his achievements, the university team has not been awarding his shirt number 30 since 2016.

professional

In 2011 he was selected by the Chicago Bulls in the NBA draft process , but was handed over to Miami Heat that same night via the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Toronto Raptors . There he became a master twice. In February 2015 he was transferred to the New Orleans Pelicans . In 2016/17 he played for the Oklahoma City Thunder .

In 2017 he left the North American league and signed with the Israeli top club Maccabi Tel Aviv . He became Israeli champion with Tel Aviv, followed by positions in Italy and Montenegro .

In 2019/20 he played at AS Monaco . During the summer break of 2020, he moved to ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne within the French league .
