The Catholic parish church of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption in Arbrissel , a French parish in the Ille-et-Vilaine department in the Brittany region , was built in the 11th century on the site of a previous building that had burned down. The parish church, consecrated to the Assumption , has been classified as a monument historique since 1987 .

architecture

The parish in Arbrissel is mentioned as early as the 9th century. The massive hall structure is supported by strong buttresses . Noteworthy is the crown cornice with carved corbels and formed from star-shaped flower arrangements of the portal .

A wooden beam that supports the bell tower stands on stone plinths. The retracted choir closes in a semicircle on the right side. The triumphal arch opens very wide to the nave .
