Nové Sady (German: Neustift ) is a district in the south of Olomouc (German: Olmütz ) in the Czech Republic with about 15,000 inhabitants. It is therefore the second largest district.
history
The tram from Olomouc to Nezamyslice was completed in 1883. The football team FK Nové Sady, which also has its own women's team, has existed since 1922. In 1924 the public library opened its own branch. The large German minority formerly resident there was expelled after the Second World War. There is a municipal sewage treatment plant in the Nové Sady district. A new tram line is currently being built from the Olomouc market to Nové Sady.
Local division
Nové Sady consists of the basic settlement units Českobratrská, Družební, Nové Sady-jih, Nové Sady-sever, Novosadská and U rybářských stavů.
