Nowa Bassan ( Ukrainian Нова Басань ; Russian Новая Басань Nowaja Bassan ) is a village in the south of the Ukrainian Oblast Chernihiv with about 3270 inhabitants (2001).
The village, which was founded in the first half of the 15th century as a fortress to defend against the Tatars, is the only town in the district of the same name in the south of Bobrovytsia district near the border with Kiev Oblast .
The village is located on the bank of the Nedra ( Недра ), a 61 km long tributary of the Trubisch 25 km south of the district center Bobrovytsja and 130 km south of the Oblast center Chernihiv . The trunk road N 07 and the territorial road T-25-26 run through the village .
