history
Nussbach was first mentioned in 1284 as Nuspach . A chapel had already been built on the site of today's parish church around 1200 and the Feißenhof in Hintertal around 1250. It belonged with all rights to the Triberg rule of the Lords of Triberg and came with this in 1356 to Duke Albrecht of Austria through the sale of Count Albrecht von Hohenberg . The village remained in Upper Austria until 1805 and, after briefly belonging to Württemberg in 1806, was incorporated into the Grand Duchy of Baden and assigned to the Triberg District Office. In 1924 Nussbach was assigned to the Villingen district office.
On January 1, 1973 Nussbach was incorporated into the city of Triberg in the Black Forest.
