Nudossi (palm oil free)

Nudossi was already made during the GDR era . After the fall of the Wall, production was stopped, but resumed in the spring of 1999 after a break of several years. The designation "East Nutella " is only partially applicable, as the composition is now completely different than it was in GDR times and is very different from Nutella and comparable spreads. Nudossi has a much higher hazelnut content with 36% than Nutella with only 13%. The recipe was adjusted at the end of 2016 so that it now contains less fat (from 35 g to 32 g) and more sugar (from 46 g to 50 g). Since April 2017, palm oil-free nut nougat cream has also been sold in 300 g jars.

Other spreads such as the chocolate- nut-coconut cream "Naschi" and the milk-cocoa cream "Nu Pagadi" as well as marzipan breads , Baumkuchen , Dresden Christmas stollen and wafers come from the same manufacturer .

history

Factory outlet in Radebeul with glass production, access from Kötitzer Straße

Friedrich Karl Lischka produced biscuits and chocolate bars in Dresden-Plauen from 1920 . In 1924 he moved to Kötzschenbroda , now part of Radebeul , to continue his company as the Vadossi company, initially with 40 employees. He had his new building at Fabrikstrasse 4 built by the master builder Franz Jörissen . The company survived the war with slight damage to buildings and was not dismantled by the victorious powers. This meant that confectionery production could be restarted as early as June 1945 with a workforce of 50 people. The workforce grew to 240 within a few years. With state participation, the company operated as Vadossi KG Schokoladen- und Zuckerwarenfabrik from 1957. In addition to z. B. Brittle, toffees and pralines she made cocoa products.

In 1970 the production of nudossi began. The high nut content already mentioned was originally born out of necessity: In the GDR, hazelnuts were easier to get than artificial flavors. In 1972 the company became part of the Dresden-based confectionery factory Elbflorenz , which was run as its Vadossi plant . With the closure of the "Elbflorenz" combine in 1991, the production of Nudossi was stopped and the plants scrapped or sold. In 1994 the Vadossi plant was liquidated.

After the Nudossi brand originally registered in the GDR had expired, the Mitteldeutsche Rundfunk registered this brand again in the summer of 1996, in addition to nut-nougat crème for events, radio broadcasts and the like (German Patent and Trademark Office, register number / file number: 39632419.3) . In spring 1999 the Saxon specialties Hartmann GbR acquired the naming rights to the nut-nougat-crème. After bankruptcy in 2005, the company was continued under the name Sächsische und Dresdner Back- und Süßwaren GmbH & Co. KG.

Today six tons of nudossi are produced every day. For this purpose, 350 tons of hazelnut pulp are imported from Turkey every year.
