The Nuraghes is a ferry of the Italian shipping company Tirrenia - Compagnia italiana di navigazione that was put into service in 2004 . It is used on the route from Civitavecchia to Olbia .

history

The Nuraghes was built under construction number 6113 at Fincantieri in Castellammare di Stabia and was launched on January 24, 2004. The delivery to Tirrenia took place on July 5, 2004. On July 15, the ship began the ferry service from Civitavecchia to Olbia.

On June 21, 2006, the Nuraghes collided with the Italian ferry Moby Fantasy in Olbia . The Moby Fantasy suffered considerable damage to the bow, while the hull of the Nuraghes was torn open over several meters at the level of the car deck. No personal injuries occurred on either ship. On June 30th, the nuraghes arrived in Naples for repairs .

For the 2017 season, the ship received a striking new hull painting with Wonder Woman motifs.

The Nuraghes' younger sister ship is the Sharden , which entered service in 2005 .
