The O'Mega is a luxury charter yacht. She is included in the list of the world's 100 largest yachts. In 2006 she took 25th place.
history
The ship was built in 1984 as a passenger ship for ferry service with a draft of 4.4 meters at the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries shipyard in Yokohama . In 2002 it was sold to China and converted into a super yacht.
Description and technical data
The O'Mega is 82.60 m long and 11.60 m wide. It is approved for 32 passengers and 26 crew members .
The yacht is powered by two eight - cylinder four-stroke diesel engines from the manufacturer Yanmar , each with an output of 1472 kW . The motors act on two controllable pitch propellers . The yacht reaches a speed of 15 knots . The two main engines consume around 800 liters of fuel per hour at 650 revolutions per minute.
For the power supply are three diesel generators of Volvo Penta with 500 kW power ( apparent power : 625 kVA ) are available.
The O'Mega has 16 cabins and conference rooms. In 2011 she was completely overhauled and her hull color changed.
