O'Shea's Limited was an assembly plant for motor vehicles and thus part of the automotive industry in Ireland .

Company history

The company was based at South Mall and George's Quay in Cork . It assembled and sold Opel automobiles from 1937 to 1965 . When in 1962, Reg. Armstrong Motors , another Irish company manufactured Opel vehicles, sales were limited to County Carlow , County Cork , County Kilkenny , County Tipperary , County Waterford and County Wexford .

Assembly ended in 1965. Then the track of the company is lost.

Despite the same or similar company name, there are no known connections to O'Shea's Limited (Daihatsu) from Cork, O'Shea's Limited (Dodge) from Cork and O'Shea Group from Dublin.

vehicles

Only the Opel Rekord has been securely handed down . It is said that the quality of the vehicles was lower than that of Reg. Armstrong Motors.
