ORP Gryf (252) was a training ship that was in service with the Polish Navy from 1976 to 2005 .
Name model was to be the beginning of the Second World War in defense of Hel by German Stukas heavy sunk minelayer ORP Gryf .
history
The ship was built at the Nord shipyard in Gdańsk and was hull number 2 of the Wodnik class (project 888). ORP Gryf was put into service on September 29, 1976 and replaced the previous training ship of the same name in the 3rd Flotilla in Gdynia .
During her service, ORP Gryf visited ports on the Baltic Sea , the North Sea , the North Sea and the Mediterranean .
Whereabouts
ORP Gryf has been asked and on 31 May 2005 out of service, first in Gdynia launched . In the summer of 2009, the ship was sold to a scrap yard in Gdańsk.
