Vitório, a veteran of the Angolan civil war , lost a leg in a mine . Discharged from the Angolan army , he tries to survive in the streets of Luanda and to blend in with civil society. He fights for his dignity and for his survival in the grueling everyday life of the metropolis. He meets various women who give him hope and one of whom begins to develop future prospects with him.
