Vitório, a veteran of the Angolan civil war , lost a leg in a mine . Discharged from the Angolan army , he tries to survive in the streets of Luanda and to blend in with civil society. He fights for his dignity and for his survival in the grueling everyday life of the metropolis. He meets various women who give him hope and one of whom begins to develop future prospects with him.

The film was a sign of the beginning of overcoming the national trauma of the decades-long civil war, but above all a first clear sign of a new beginning in Angolan film .
