The Oberalmer Thaidingtisch , also Oberalmer Schranne , is the roughly hewn marble slab of a historical place of execution. It stands under the Kaiser-Jubiläumslinde , the village linden of Oberalm , in the Tennengau not far from Hallein .

The tree and table are the symbol of the community, they adorn the community coat of arms, and the Schranne is a listed building .

The Thai table

The stone table measures 1.25 meters square and is 15 cm thick. The plate is made of Adneter marble , the important deposit near Oberalm. The base is secondary.

Until the beginning of the 19th century, the table served as a Schranne , i.e. the place of jurisdiction of the place ( Ding / Thaiding ), where land law was proclaimed and justice was pronounced annually from ancient times .

It is one of the few surviving legal antiquities in the state of Salzburg and is the only original cabinet table in the entire state.

The table has been standing under the village linden tree not far from the parish church, at the junction from the Überlandstraße (today Halleiner Landesstraße  L105) to Winkl . The current linden tree, a summer linden tree, which is now also magnificent , is a new plant from 1908 and was planted in memory of Emperor Franz Joseph . In 2012 it was around 25 meters tall. The age and name of the tree are marked on a memorial stone next to the trunk.
