Oberdorf is a locality and as Oberdorf-Niederdorf a cadastral municipality of the municipality Tragöß-Sankt Katharein in the district of Bruck-Mürzzuschlag in Styria .
Oberdorf lies in the Laming Valley . In addition to Oberdorf, the Niederdorf Rotte and some individual locations also belong to the village.
Settlement development
At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there was a total of 87 building areas with 39,036 m² and 47 gardens on 32,381 m² in the cadastral municipality of Oberdorf-Niederdorf , in 1989/1990 there were 79 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 294 and in 2009/2010 there were 128 buildings on 312 building areas.
Land use
The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture and forestry. 130 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 475 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 79 hectares and 505 hectares were designated as forest areas.
