Oberhatzkofen is a district of the town of Rottenburg an der Laaber in the Lower Bavarian district of Landshut . Until 1978 it formed an independent municipality.
location
Oberhatzkofen is located in the Hallertau on the Große Laber about two kilometers southwest of Rottenburg.
history
Already 871 received Bishop Ambricho and his Vogt Realty by the priest Alawihus, the Chancellor of Count Rodolt, goods in Hacinchova (Hatzkofen) against possession in Holzhausen . The parish church of Hatzkofen is first mentioned in 1183.
The village of Oberhatzkofen belonged to the Hofmark Niederhatzkofen , which was owned by the Bavarian noble family of Weissenstein from 1577 to 1781. From the end of the 18th century to 1845, Wiguleus Freiherr von Kreittmayr and his heirs were the owners of this Hofmark.
The municipality of Oberhatzkofen was founded by the Bavarian municipal edict in 1818 and initially belonged to the Pfaffenberg district court , then to the Rottenburg court, Rottenburg an der Laaber district office and finally to the Rottenburg an der Laaber district . In 1858 the attempt to unite the communities of Oberhatzkofen, Niederhatzkofen , Bogenhausen and Unterlauterbach into one community failed . On May 20, 1874, the communities Niederhatzkofen and Bogenhausen were incorporated into the community of Oberhatzkofen. Oberhatzkofen therefore included the places Bogenhausen, Brandhof, Eggerach, Eschenloh, Furth, Grünberg, Heckmühle, Lurz, Niederhatzkofen, Pleckenhof, Ramersdorf (Ramelsdorf), Scharmühle and Viehhausen.
The coat of arms of the municipality of Oberhatzkofen was adopted by the municipal council on December 5, 1969 and approved by the government of Lower Bavaria with a resolution of May 28, 1971. The red rafter with the silver lily is the old family coat of arms of the Kreitmayr. The colors silver and blue are taken from the coat of arms of the Nothaft and remind of the importance of this family for the history of the place.
On April 1, 1971, Unterlauterbach and Unterbuch joined the municipality of Oberhatzkofen, but on May 1, 1978, as part of the regional reform in Bavaria, the municipality of Oberhatzkofen was incorporated into the town of Rottenburg adLaaber. In 1987 Oberhatzkofen had 497 inhabitants.
