Oberneureuth is a district of the community of Sonnen and a district in the Lower Bavarian district of Passau . The village is about two kilometers southwest of Hauzenberg on the state road St2132 .

history

The place belonged to the Kellberg office of the Oberhaus regional court in Passau until 1803 and was then secularized in favor of Ferdinand of Tuscany with most of the high penal area . Since the peace treaties of Brno and Pressburg in 1805 , the place has belonged to Bavaria. The rural community of Oberneureuth with the main town Krinning was founded in 1818 by the Bavarian community edict. The Catholic branch church St. Gunther in Krinning was built in 1961 according to the plans of Alfons Hornsteiner. As a result of the regional reform in Bavaria on May 1, 1978, the incorporation of parts of the community (the main town Krinning with Auhäusl, Geiersberg, Langreuth (connected with Sickling), Sicklingermühle and Sieglmühle) to Hauzenberg , while Oberneureuth with the places Grubwies, Haidensäg, Haselberg, Höllwies, Holzgattern, Jägerwies (connected to Thierham), Keinzlmühle, Niederneureuth, Niederneureutherwaid (connected to Haselberg), Oberneureutherwaid, Rannaberg, Schauberg, Schneideröden, Schönwiese and Thierham was incorporated into the municipality of Sonnen .
