The Oberrauch Group is an Italian family company with various branches. These include u. a. the athletes AG , one of the largest sports retail chains in Europe and the Oberalp AG , one of the largest sportswear manufacturer. The group of companies also operates the largest photovoltaic system in South Tyrol with a total output of over 2,000 MWh annually, which Leitner Solar AG from Bruneck built.

Sportler AG

The athletes AG is a specialist sports retail chain headquartered in Bolzano ( South Tyrol ) and was the first of today's Upper Smoke group . The company, which was founded in 1977, emerged from Anton Oberrauch's import and export textile wholesale business, which had been in operation since around 1850 , and currently (as of 2014) operates 20 branches in the autonomous region of Trentino-South Tyrol , in north-eastern Italy and in the Austrian Tyrol and Vorarlberg . In 2009 Sportler AG alone generated 85.5 million euros and employed 479 people. The core areas of the sports retailer encompass all sports that are closely related to the Alps . The largest shop of the entire chain is located in Innsbruck and is also the largest shop for alpine sports in Tyrol.

In 1977 the two brothers Georg and Heiner Oberrauch founded the Sportler company in Bolzano. From 1994 the company also opened branches outside of Italy. In 1990, the then exclusive wholesaler and chain store completely took over the Salewa brand , which he had been selling exclusively in Italy with Ober Alp AG-SpA since 1983 . After the ski touring binding manufacturer silvretta was taken over in 1999 and the ski touring outfitter Dynafit in 2003, the manufacturing branch of the company and the various fashion houses were merged and reorganized in Ober Alp AG . In 2003 the company founded the Sport Alliance International purchasing association , Europe's leading support marketing service provider. In 2014, at the age of only 24, Jakob Oberrauch took over management of the company from his father Georg Oberrauch.

Ober Alp AG

In addition to the retail chain Sportler AG , Ober Alp AG is the fundamental component and most important distributor of the Oberrauch Group, which also includes Ober Alp AG (with the trademarks Salewa , Silvretta , Dynafit etc.), the Oberrauch Zitt company with fashion stores in Bolzano Laubengasse, in Meran and in Vintl , the fashion house Globus with branches in the old town of Bolzano, in Meran, in Brixen and in Bruneck as well as with Porticus P8 several branches e.g. B. in Bozen and Vintl belong.

The upper Alp AG produces and distributes the brands continue ICEPEAK , BARTS , Gaastra , Loeffler and Time Zone . There is also close cooperation with manufacturers and brands such as Speedo , Rip Curl from Torquay, Australia and Lutha .

Bergzeit GmbH

The uphill time GmbH is an established in 1999 German retailer for outdoor and mountain sports articles, as well as experience and course organizer based in Otterfing . In addition to the online shop, the company also has two stationary branches in Gmund / Moosrain and Holzkirchen / Großhartpenning. The company has been part of the Oberrauch Group since 2012. Bergzeit employs around 250 people and has an annual turnover of 60 million euros.
