The Obwa ( Russian О́бва ) is a right tributary of the Kama in the Russian region of Perm .
The Obwa rises on the eastern flank of the Kama Heights . It initially flows in a south-easterly direction, later it turns to the northeast. Finally it reaches a southwest bay of the Kama reservoir and flows into it. The Obwa flows through the administrative districts of Siwa , Karagai and Ilyinsky . The Obwa is very winding in the lower reaches. The largest city on the river is the Karagai Rajon Administrative Center . The main tributaries of the Obwa are the Jawa and Nerdwa from the left, and the Siwa , Bub and Lyswa from the right.
The Obwa has a length of 247 km. Its catchment area covers 6720 km². It is mainly fed by the snowmelt . The mean discharge is 41.7 m³ / s. At the end of October / November the river freezes. At the end of April / beginning of May the Obwa is usually free of ice again.
