Oda Johanne Brødholt (born April 28, 1989 in Tromsø ) is a Norwegian professional windsurfer . Her greatest successes to date are the two vice world championships in freestyle in 2014 and 2015 .
Brødholt was born in Tromsø , but her family moved to southeast Norway just over a year after she was born. There she grew up in Hobøl , with her mother and in Vestby , with her father. She started playing handball at an early age and played a. a. in various youth national teams in Norway. She only started windsurfing at the age of 18. After her World Cup debut in 2013, she achieved her first podium place at the event on the Costa Calma ( Fuerteventura , Spain ) the following year and her fourth place at the season opener on Bonaire was enough to win the runner-up world title. In 2016 she was able to repeat the success and in the next three years she was third in the freestyle ranking behind the dominator Sarah-Quita Offringa and Maaike Huvermann . At the beginning of the 2019 season , she was able to achieve her first World Cup podium in slalom in Marignane .
