history

In 1407 the city of Weiden had three individual subjects in Oedenthal. In the 16th century, Oedenthal was owned by the city of Weiden with 4 landholders.

In tax descriptions from the 18th century, Oedenthal is mentioned as a hamlet with 3 properties belonging to the municipality of Muglhof . Oedenthal belonged to the parish of Roggenstein.

Around 1800 there were 4 houses and 22 residents in Oedenthal. It was located in the Leuchtenberg district court, but was landable with the lower court and service for the magistrate of the city of Weiden.

Oedenthal belonged to the Muglhof tax district formed in 1808. The tax district Muglhof consisted of the villages Matzlesrieth , Muglhof, Oedenthal and the desert areas of Ober- , Mitter- and Unterhöll .

In 1821, Trauschendorf formed together with Oedenthal a direct regional court rural community. Trauschendorf was a village with 15 families and Oedenthal was a hamlet with 4 families.

In 1830 the previously independent community of Trauschendorf and Oedenthal were incorporated into Muglhof. In 1838 the Weiden district court was established in the Upper Palatinate . Oedenthal and the Muglhof community came from the Vohenstrauß regional court to the Weiden regional court. As part of the regional reform in Bavaria in 1972, Oedenthal came to the independent city of Weiden as part of the Muglhof community.
