Off Minor is an emocore band from New York / United States .
history
The band was formed in January 2000 after the breakup of the legendary screamo band Saetia by former member James Behar and Steven Roche together with Matt Smith . Matt Smith later quits as bassist to join Hot Cross , founded by the other two former members of Saetia. The band is then strengthened by Stevens brother Kevin Roche .
Before Matt Smith leaves, the band is releasing their debut EP called Problematic Courtship . In 2004 , the album Innominate is the latest of the three to be released.
The band toured as often as they can, although guitarist and singer James Behar is still working on his medical degree. The band has made a name for itself in the European underground - hardcore punk - and emo scene, not least through their concerts on several European tours.
In 2004 the band took a shorter concert break.
style
The band combines classic emotional hardcore with calm, somewhat withdrawn, melancholic parts and desolate, hard song parts with screaming systems as well as elements of harder emo with more cacophonic song structures and more aggressive, longer screamed texts and words. There are also some jazz elements in the band .
