Okan Ekmekci (born April 8, 1995 in Wels ) is an Austrian football player .
Career
Ekmekci started his career at FC Wels . In December 2005 he moved to ASK Blaue Elf Wels . In the 2006/07 season he played in the youth team of the WSC Hertha Wels . For the 2007/08 season he returned to FC Wels. For the 2008/09 season he moved to the LASK youth team . In 2010 he played briefly at FC Pasching before returning to LASK. In October 2011 he moved to Turkey in the youth of Manisaspor . In October 2012 he returned to Hertha Wels. There he completed two games for the first team in the fifth highest division. In April 2013 he returned to LASK. From the 2013/14 season he was used for the eight-class second team of LASK.
For the 2014/15 season he moved to the regional division SV Wallern . In his first season with Wallern, he made 23 appearances in the regional league . In 2016 he had to relegate Wallern to the Upper Austrian League . After a total of 59 league appearances, he moved to regional league club SV Grieskirchen in January 2017 . For Grieskirchen he made 13 regional league appearances, but with the club he also had to go to the Upper Austrian league. He then joined the regional league team SK Austria Klagenfurt for the 2017/18 season . For the Carinthians he came to 24 appearances in the regional league, in which he scored four goals. With Klagenfurt he rose to the second division at the end of the season . Then he left the club.
After more than two months without a club, Ekmekci moved to Greece for fourth division Apollon Paralimnio in September 2018 . After a few months in Greece, he returned to Austria in February 2019 and joined the fifth-class ATSV Sattledt . After 24 fifth division appearances for Sattledt, he moved to second division Kapfenberger SV in January 2020 , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2020. He made his debut in the 2nd division in February 2020 when he came on as a substitute for David Sencar in the 85th minute against SV Lafnitz on the 18th matchday of the 2019/20 season . By the end of the season he came to eleven second division appearances in which he scored a goal. After the 2019/20 season, he left the KSV again.
