Olaf Kitzig (born April 5, 1971 in Lippstadt ) is a German interior architect and designer who works internationally with his projects.

Life

At 17, Kitzig began training as a painter and varnisher with a painter and restorer . After he had successfully completed this, he also completed his training as a display designer . Olaf Kitzig then worked as a state-certified furnishing consultant in the international furniture trade and then in furnishing consulting in London, Malta and Georgia / USA, among others. In 1998 he set up his own company "Kitzig Interior Design - Architecture Group" in his hometown of Lippstadt. In 2001 a second office was opened in Bochum . In 2011, a third office was added in Munich. Another office was opened in Düsseldorf in October 2018.

At the end of 2017, the creative office was restructured, in which the internal competencies of communication design and product management were removed and formed into independent companies - Kitzig Identities and Kitzig Details. For this purpose, Kitzig founded the management holding company Kitzig Design Studios, which bundles all three creative offices. It employs a total of over 60 people from the disciplines of interior design, architecture, design, product design, communication design and business administration.

His projects include the design of the Philip Morris headquarters in Cologne, the Hugo Junkers Lounge at Düsseldorf Airport , the Dorint Airporthotel Zurich, the renovation of the historic 5-star golf hotel Schloss Fleesensee , and the design of all GOP variety shows in Germany.

The creative focus of Olaf Kitzig and his team lies mainly in the hotel, catering, retail and office segments as well as in the sophisticated private space. His clients include international clients such as Lufthansa AG, Hilton London, LBS Bayerische Landesbausparkasse, AccorHotels Group, Mövenpick and many more.
