Olaf Ohlsen

Olaf Ohlsen (born December 6, 1941 in Hamburg ) is a Hamburg CDU politician .

Life

After graduating from secondary school , Olaf Ohlsen went to sea for seven years , most recently as a navigator . He then worked for 32 years as a civil servant in the Hamburg water police .

He is married and has two children and three grandchildren.

Olaf Ohlsen has been a member of the CDU since he was 20 years old. From 1986 to 2004 he was a member of the Hamburg-Eimsbüttel district assembly . For part of the time he was also the parliamentary leader of his party.

Since March 17, 2004 Ohlsen was a member of the Hamburg Parliament . There he sat for his group in the submission committee, budget committee, economic committee and in the committee for the districts. He was a specialist in business and the port. He sees his political work as focusing on port policy and administrative reform.

In the 2015 state election, Ohlsen ran for 26th place on the state list, but lost his mandate.
