Olaf Sanders

Olaf Sanders (* 1967 ) is a German educational scientist and university professor.

Life

Sanders studied educational science , philosophy and sociology at the University of Hamburg from 1988 to 1996 . In 1998 he received his doctorate in education in Hamburg with a thesis on romance, destruction and pop, and then worked there from 1999 to 2004 as a research assistant . From 2004 to 2012 he taught as a student assistant at the University of Cologne and completed his habilitation there in 2010 with a thesis on Gilles Deleuze's pedagogy. After holding a substitute professorship for general education at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen from 2012 to 2013, he was appointed professor for systematic educational science at the Technical University of Dresden in 2013 . In the 2013/14 winter semester, he also taught as a visiting professor at the Institute for Media and Communication Studies at the University of Klagenfurt . Since the end of 2016 he has been a professor of educational science, in particular educational theory and philosophical foundations at the Helmut Schmidt University (HSU), University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg. His work focuses on educational philosophy, theories of popular cultures and media, and film education research. From 2005 to 2017 he also taught pedagogy at the Cologne University of Music and Dance .
