Oleg Dmitrijewitsch Saprykin ( Russian Олег Дмитриевич Сапрыкин ; born February 12, 1981 in Moscow ) is a former Russian ice hockey player .
Career
Saprykin began his career at HK CSKA Moscow before he was selected in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft in the first round in eleventh place by the Calgary Flames . He played a total of five seasons for the Flames before he was swapped for the Phoenix Coyotes on August 26, 2004 together with Denis Gauthier . This gave Daymond Langkow to the Flames.
On February 27, 2007 he was exchanged for a second-round draft from the 2007 NHL Entry Draft to the Ottawa Senators along with a seven-round draft .
The lockout 2004-05 season he also spent in his home in HC CSKA Moscow. Between 2007 and 2009 he played for CSKA Moscow before he was signed by HK Dynamo Moscow in the summer of 2009 . At the beginning of December 2009 it was given to SKA Saint Petersburg in exchange for Igor Makarow .
In July 2010 he moved to Salawat Julajew Ufa within the KHL and won the Gagarin Cup with his new team in 2011 . After his scorer values had declined significantly in the 2012/13 season, he then received no new contract in Ufa and returned to CSKA Moscow in June 2013. But even at ZSKA he was unable to build on old performances and therefore did not receive a contract extension at the end of the 2013/14 season. In June 2014 he was signed by the newly founded KHL participant HK Sochi , but released from his contract in November of the same year. He was then without a club, before he was signed by Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg in August 2015 . In November 2015 he was released from the contract.
