Oleg Nikolaevich Taktarow
Oleg Nikolajewitsch Taktarow ( Russian Оле́г Никола́евич Такта́ров , English transcription Oleg Nikolaevich Taktarov ; born August 26, 1967 in Arsamas-16 ) is a Russian mixed martial arts fighter and actor . As of June 2010, his competition record was seventeen wins, five defeats and two draws.
Career
On April 7, 1995, Taktarov made his debut as a mixed martial arts fighter. Through his sporting activity, Taktarow earned the nickname The Russian Bear . He is mainly active as a fighter in the United States, including in the Ultimate Fighting Championship . From 1998 he reduced his competitive activities in order to be able to pursue acting full-time.
He appeared in the films The Legacy of the Knights Templar and Miami Vice from 2006, among others . He played a serial killer alongside Robert DeNiro in 15 minutes of fame . Through this film he was able to draw attention to himself as an actor for the first time. He played an elite Russian soldier in the 2010 science fiction film Predators .
In the video game Battlefield 3 he embodied the character of Dimitri Mayakovsky .
Taktarov's father Nikolaj belongs to the indigenous Russian people of the Mari .
