Oleg Zhukov

Oleg Zhukov (born 1980 in Odessa ) is a Ukrainian actor .

Life

Oleg Zhukov came to Germany in 1994 and later trained as a movement pedagogue. In 2002 he made his stage debut at Theater Oberhausen . Further stations in his stage career were the Freie Werkstatt Theater in Cologne, the Berlin Sophiensæle , the Düsseldorf Forum Free Theater and the theaters in Bonn , Koblenz and Aachen . In 2011 Zhukov played at the Zurich Opera House in the play The Nose , directed by Peter Stein .

As a director, Zhukov has been staging Arbeit Duisburg since 2006, working alongside others with juvenile prisoners. Oleg Zhukov wrote the stage play Nordstadt for the literature competition In the future of the Westphalian State Theater . In 2012 he founded the group Subbotnik , a German-Russian platform for theater, together with Kornelius Heidebrecht and Martin Kloepfer . In 2013, Subbotnik was awarded the city of Düsseldorf's sponsorship award for performing arts.

Occasionally Oleg Zhukov also works in front of the camera. In addition to a few short films as well as diploma and graduation films, he was seen in three Tatort episodes and in an episode of the Dr. Kleist . Directed by Werner Schroeter , Zhukov starred in the movie This Night , which was shown at the Venice Film Festival .

Oleg Zhukov lives in Cologne. In addition to his mother tongue Russian, he speaks fluent German and Polish.
